Policy coherence for development (PCD) has long been a priority for NGOs in Belgium. Since 2012, a political commitment has been taking shape and gradually resulting in significant progress at the federal level. A series of royal decrees has just been signed to put in place mechanisms for coordinating, implementing and monitoring PCD. The Coalition Against Hunger (CAH) organised a series of round tables and political questioning sessions concerning PCD with a view to highlighting the significant progress made, but also drawing attention to several challenges in the domain of food security and agriculture. Various examples of incoherence emerged. The recommendations below aim to minimise the possibility of this incoherences being repeated and to enable political decisions to be reviewed with a view to ensuring greater coherence.
