Het einde van honger: een onmogelijke missie?
Dit seminar, georganiseerd door de Coalitie tegen honger, brengt deskundigen van internationale organisaties en boerenorganisaties uit het Zuiden samen om de stand van zaken in de strijd tegen honger te analyseren. Halverwege de MDG-routekaart lijkt de doelstelling om honger uit te roeien tegen 2030 steeds verder buiten bereik. Wat zijn de oplossingen?

Naar aanleiding van de Internationale Voedseldag organiseert de Coalitie tegen de Honger dit seminarie met als doel de kennis en het begrip van maatschappelijke organisaties, politici en burgers over de situatie van voedselonzekerheid in de wereld te vergroten en de oorzaken van honger te analyseren. We zullen ook kijken naar de alternatieven die op politiek niveau moeten worden ingevoerd, met bijzondere aandacht voor de verantwoordelijkheid van België en de EU, om het tij van de voedselonzekerheid in de wereld te keren.
Het seminar wordt voornamelijk in het Engels gehouden, maar ook in het Frans. Er wordt voor vertolking naar het Engels, Nederlands en Frans gezorgd.

Since the 2008 crisis, the governance of food systems has been singled out in the context of food crises. What improvements have been made since 2008 ? What are the weaknesses of the current system ?
